Montrose Bike Shop Ride

Keeping up with tradition, we had another fun shop ride this past weekend. Even though it was Mother's Day, fourteen mountain bikers showed up to ride from the shop, on Honolulu, up Hospital Hill, to Hampstead, to our back yard playground: Cherry Canyon. This little shop ride has something for everyone. Depending on who shows up, we oftentimes split up in two groups: The more experienced and the less experienced riders. 

The first group hits the single tracks, enjoying mixed terrain, switchbacks, gnarly descends, steep uphills, rock gardens…you name it. The less experienced group gains experience by building strength by climbing wide fire roads as well as a couple not-too-technical single tracks, gaining experience in a stress free environment. 

Get ready for your week early on Sunday, and then grab your bike and come have one last MTB ride around Cherry Canyon with Montrose Bike Shop!

Cyclocross Clinic and Happy Hour at Montrose Bike Shop

Meet other cyclists and cyclocross experts at the bike shop at 5:30 to sign up. At 6:00 we'll roll out on our bicycles and ride to a cyclocross skills practice. Later, we'll head back to the shop for a happy hour presentation about the coming SoCalCross season!

Montrose Bike Shop

Montrose Bike Shop was founded in 1952. Nestled in the charming foothill community of Montrose, CA. The surrounding mountains, hills and valleys provide a diverse and cherished network of trails, paths and road for cyclist of all abilities. Our staff is friendly and highly trained to help you make a informed purchases from a new bicycle to a small tool kit. Our mechanic are experienced experts who are happy to share their knowledge from answering a simple question to getting rid of that annoying creak in the bottom bracket.
